Besides Colorado, Rebeccah has lived in the following places:
California; Paris (France); New York; Djarkarta, Indonesia;
Connecticut; and Perth (Western Australia). She also feels very privileged to have visited Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Quebec, England, Ireland, Austria, Germany, Italy, and the south of France. She dabbled in photography while living in New York City in the ’80’s. She annoyed family, friends, and colleagues for decades by exhaustively snapping photos of every single event. But she didn’t find her true photo-passion until 2008, after a series of monumental life events including (all in one year) divorce, selling a house, moving, and changing careers. She was hibernating in a lovely, small apartment which was soothing for a while… and then the walls started closing in. Rebeccah realized she had to get outside to save her sanity so she began simply by walking around her new neighborhood, camera in hand. One day she came across a yard resplendent with tall dahlias—some over six feet high—in late afternoon summer light after a pounding rain. She felt a sense of joy and peace wash over her, and she yearned to capture the image so she could share it with others. |
In the ensuing years, Rebeccah has been greatly inspired by her connection with Nature...
Especially by its contrasts and patterns. But
she is also happy to take photos of anything that catches her eye. She first notices how light intermingles with something, and then she notices lines and angles. When she feels she successfully captures images, she calls her photos “happy accidents.” Rebeccah is available for hire to photograph inanimate items, such as your vehicle, garden, etc. She feels extremely blessed to have the love and support of many friends and family, and her handsome boyfriend, Robert. |
